i enjoy sleeping for 12 hours...to you, my warmest apologies

so much has happened since the last post- I had pieces in 2 events...
1. the opening reception for the 10th anniversary for New Ideas in Medallic Sculpture has come and gone, and will be on display at the Medialia Gallery until the 20th of October, 2007 (check it out at http://www.medialiagallery.com ). After that, the show travels to the Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal. Tasty.
2. the Inliquid Benefit v.7.0 turned out to be a success, and i sold my first 2 pieces at the silent auction ("i and i")...some pieces are still for sale on InLiquid's online auction site, where you can also check out all of the pieces as well as photos from the event: http://inliquid.com/features/Auction_v.7.0/#

i've also made a few collages...

"8 hours of plastic sass," 2007

"haunt you forever," 2007

"let's trade, ok?," 2007

"observing heaven," 2007

"there was no peanut butter, no tempeh, no kale known of for miles," 2007

InLiquid Benefit, 9/27/07

I have donated my two female figures from my "i and i" piece to the InLiquid Benefit/Silent auction coming up Thursday, September 27th, 2007, from 5:30-9pm. The preview reception is Wednesday, September 26th; the silent auction on the 27th costs $30/ticket for advanced purchase, $40 at the door. There will be works featured by over 200 artists, and proceeds will go to both InLiquid and the Abigail Rebecca Cohen Foundation (supports disadvantaged youth through art education). There is also an after-party on the 27th where Peek-A-Boo Revue (a neo-burlesque show) will be performing from 9-10:30pm, cost $10. Hope you can make it, even if it's just for the preview reception!
